Owner Build HQ came out of real life: long days on site, a budget spread across too many spreadsheets, and a wall of sticky notes that was never once up to date. We are building our own home from the ground up, so you can build yours with clarity, confidence and control.

Our story
It started with a crazy idea and a big leap of faith.
We decided to build our own house in Utah without a general contractor. Just us, a set of plans, a budget, and enough determination to be dangerous.
Owner-building is one of the most rewarding things you can do. It is also one of the most overwhelming. The project management tools we found were built for professionals running crews across a dozen jobs, not for first-timers juggling permits, subcontractor bids, material deliveries, a schedule that moves every week, and the rest of a normal life.
We lived in spreadsheets. We tried sticky notes. We tried app after app. Nothing clicked. Every week came down to the same three questions: what has to happen next, did we order it yet, and are we still on budget?
So we started building a better way, from inside the build, while it is still going on. Owner Build HQ is the thing we needed on the days that were hardest to keep straight, and we are using it on our own house right now.
We are still on the job site. Whether you break ground next month or three years from now, we want you to have the tools to pull it off.
